Effective 19 October 2026 · applies to Cromia for iPhone, version 2.0 and later.
In short: Cromia does not collect any personal data. There is no account, no server that receives your photos, and no analytics or advertising.
Your photos
When you take a selfie or choose a photo, Cromia analyses it entirely on your iPhone using Apple's built-in face detection and small machine-learning models that ship with the app. The photo is never uploaded, shared, or sent to us or anyone else.
What is stored, and where
Your analysed photos and results are saved only inside Cromia's private storage on your iPhone, so you can see your history. They are excluded from iCloud backups. You can delete any result in the app, delete everything in Settings → Delete all analyses, or delete the app, which removes all of it.
Camera and photo library
Cromia uses the camera only when you choose to take a selfie or photograph a garment, and reads only the photo you pick from your library. Neither leaves your device.
Optional AI model download
If you choose to download Cromia's on-device AI model, the app fetches the model files from Hugging Face (huggingface.co). This is a standard file download: no photos, results or personal information are sent with it. As with any internet request, Hugging Face's servers see your device's IP address; their privacy policy applies to that request. After downloading, the model runs fully offline.
